Global Warming is the Product of Natural Causes Essay
Humans are not the primary cause of global warming. Although an argument could be made saying that humans have contributed to global warming, it certainly would not be fair to place all of the blame on mankind. From past climate change, it can be proven that global warming is in fact the product of natural causes. Furthermore, the Earth may even begin to cool soon enough. In the past, there have been changes in the Earthââ¬â¢s eccentricity and the Earthââ¬â¢s tilt which affected how much sunlight was reaching the planet. Changes that happen in the sun can affect the intensity of the sunlight received on Earth. Global warming or cooling can be the result of this. Furthermore, volcanic eruptions can also contribute to climate change. Whenâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦This was long before humans had any influence on the environment. According to Malcolm Y (Scienceray, 2007), only 3% of all carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is due to human activity. In fact, the Earth is actually warming itself. Scientific researcher Tim Ball, PhD, in 1940-1980 the Earthââ¬â¢s temperature was decreasing. The Earthââ¬â¢s temperature has since then been rising and should continue to rise until the year 2020. The Earth naturally goes through a cycle when the Earth cools and heats itself. A top scientist of hurricanes and tropical weather, Professor William Gray, stated that ââ¬Å"Global warming is happening, but humans are not the causeâ⬠. Gray believed that the Earth had been going through a little ice age, and just recently has begun to cool down. 400 years ago the Earth was actually as hot as it is now. People couldnââ¬â¢t possibly have caused it then. So then this must prove the cyclical of climate change does exist. American weather satellites have shown wobbles in the atmosphere since 1999, but there has been no definitive change. Henrik Svensmark of Copenhagen found in 1999 that compilations of weather satellite data that variations in cloudiness are due to atomic particles from exploding stars. The sun keeps these cosmic rays at bay which means fewer clouds. Fewer clouds mean a warmer planet. He replicated this affect with a box of air. The cosmic rays built up condensation of sulphuric acid and water.Show MoreRelatedThe Effects of Global Warming on the Earth990 Words à |à 4 PagesGlobal Warming Earthââ¬â¢s temperature is a vital aspect to Earth and its surroundings. The atmospheric temperature along with natural gases is the significant reasons why Earth inhabits all of its life. When there are changes that alter the natural affects of Earthââ¬â¢s environment there are factors that places the environment at risk. Increase warming of global temperatures account as a major concern of Earthââ¬â¢s surroundings. Global warming is a prominent source to consider how and why the environmentRead MoreClimate Warming : Global Warming Essay1095 Words à |à 5 PagesCurrently, the temperature of the earthââ¬â¢s climate system continues to rapidly increase which leads to global warming. Global warming, by definition is the ââ¬Å"gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earthââ¬â¢s atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutantsâ⬠(Websterââ¬â¢s). There are m any reasons why global warming occurs, such as human activities and the increasing of gases; for instance carbon dioxide in theRead MoreEssay on Global Warming1169 Words à |à 5 Pagestoday as global warming. Even to this day, people proceed to do detrimental things to the environment. Global warming is one of the gravest issues the world faces nowadays. With all the other concerns society has to face, it is essential that people act out now and do what is necessary to establish a brighter future. By using appropriate procedures to conserve energy and save natural resources, people can counteract the process of global warming and its disastrous effects. When global warming is disregardedRead MoreEssay about Causes and Effects of Global Warming on Our World1498 Words à |à 6 PagesGlobal Warming is a universal concern that has gained worldwide attention. As members of Congress, we have heard and learned new and different facts about the process of Earth. Some causes and effects of global warming are easy to understand, with substantial evidence, yet there are still unanswered questions and reasoning as to why global warming is occurring. This essay is to outline the background of global warming and to display opposing viewpoints. Since there is not enough evidential researchRead MoreEssay on What is Global Warming?1232 Words à |à 5 PagesInconvenient Truth shows us what will happen in the future if we continue to produce waste and pollution. We are the cause of global warming. Global warming turns the earth into an oven. Each year the overall temperature raise, causing more natural disaster and dry lands. If we let this continue s, we might even end up in the same wasteland shown in the film Wall-E. Global warming happens when the greenhouse gases keeps the radiation that comes from the sun back to the planet, causing temperatureRead MoreGlobal Warming: Todays Grand Hoax Essay1119 Words à |à 5 PagesWe live at a period in time were natural disasters have become a current event in our world. The Earthââ¬â¢s climate is changing, the culprit, global warming. This is what popular media has guided us to believe. What causes global warming, ââ¬Å"we do, with the emissions of carbon dioxide we producedâ⬠, claimed by the noble prize winning movie, The 11th Hour. Although in reality the Earthââ¬â¢s climate has gone through spikes in climate changes for centuries. Global warming has been turned into a symbolic gestureRead MoreGlobal Warming: An Ethical Issue Essay1519 Words à |à 7 PagesTechnologies are zooming rapidly. Humanities prefer to overwork natural resources and often fell into technologiesââ¬â¢ competitive temptations. Generations are getting smarter and innovative each day. New products are constantly changing to catch customersââ¬â¢ attention, while current products are still young and are not even ready to mature yet. While many are embracing technologies, few are concerned with the scars that have been embedded on natural resources. It is so easy to fall into the temptation thatRead MoreGlobal Warming, Not Caused by Humans1343 Words à |à 6 PagesGlobal Warming, Not Caused by Humans In modern America few problems prove to be as fundamentally problematic as the theory of human induced global warming. Its repeated coverage from within the media and political arena are influencing people worldwide, putting those who think differently in an outcast shadow. The truth of the matter is, to not believe in human induced global warming has become politically incorrect and unacceptable in the public eye. The theory of human induced global warming canRead More Global Warming Essay example953 Words à |à 4 PagesGlobal Warming Global warming is an increase in the earths temperature due to fossil fuels, industry, and agricultural processes caused by human, natural, and other gas emissions. (Melissa Phillips). This results in an increased emission of greenhouse gases. (Caroline Quatman). Short-wave solar radiation sinks into the Earths atmosphere and warms its surface; while longwave infrared radiation emitted by earths surface is absorbed, and then re-emitted by trace gases. (Brent C. Willhoite) Read MoreFactors that Contribute to Global Warming, Such as Carbon Dioxide743 Words à |à 3 PagesOver the recent years, global warming has become a hot topic, due to the melting of polar ice caps and extreme temperature changes across the globe. Since 1960, the percentage of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere has increased by 20%, which is the highest recorded in 800,000 years. The true question though is whether this is due to natural causes or whether itââ¬â¢s the impact humans have on the earthââ¬â¢s deli cate ecosystem. The main signs that global warming is currently affecting our world is the rapid
